CAR, as it is better known, is a very young club and was established by a few air rifle enthusiasts here in Cape Town.

The club is run by a very dedicated committee who do all the planning and work behind the scenes.   The club primarily hosts events in the sport of Field Target and Hunter Field Target shooting, which is basically simulated hunting.

Please have a look around on the site for all kinds of information of the club as well as the sport.   We cater for young and old, as well as any air rifle, be it a garden springer or a Ferrari PCP, there is a place for everybody.

This website has been set up for two reasons:

1. To inform the public of our club and what we do. People seeing this website and not knowing what CAR does or stands for should after browsing around a bit be fully knowledgeable on the sport of Field Target shooting, especially in the Western Cape.
   
   
2. For members of the club to be able to track the events of the club and get information like shoot results and other Air Rifle Shooting related info.
